Beware of this deadly additive. Since this flavor enhancer is a billion-dollar business, it is difficult to find the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about eating this additive.

The simplest advice I can give you?

Don’t eat anything you can’t pronounce.

Most people who have headaches are familiar with Monosodium Glutamate or MSG, but did you know that MSG has other names? Yes, it does because food manufacturers know that there are savvy consumers who know MSG is not healthy, but need MSG to make their dead food taste fresh and alive. Here is a list to get you started. Until I swore myself off of ALL additives in my food, my migraines were plentiful. Now that my diet contains zero tolerance for additives, I am migraine and headache free. Amazing

Here are just a few of the other names for MSG.

SHOCKING? When I discovered this list, I carried it to the grocery store! It took me a long time to shop. Then I discovered what Dr. Feingold said about food coloring. What did he say?

“Food coloring can activate the nervous system of a child.”

Okay, if the nervous system can be made active by something as simple as a food coloring — what’s it doing to me?  I also read that a preservative called, “Citric Acid” generally considered totally safe can produce birth defects. That was it!

I took myself completely OFF any food additives of any kind. If God didn’t make it — that’s fresh, whole foods, or if the ingredient list contained more than five items and I couldn’t use any of them in my own kitchen—it would NOT enter my mouth!!

80% health improvement in just 48 hours!

“Spice” can be chemical additives like monosodium glutamate. Monosodium glutamate kills brain cells, and will give me a migraine headache.

“Broth or vegetable broth” on tuna labels can have more chemicals in the disguise of “broth.” The FDA allows Food Manufacturers to be vague in their labeling.

It is a challenge to find a salad dressing without MSG at your local grocery store. Many recipe books call for Dijon mustard, ketchup, Worcheshire sauce, or canned chicken broth. Nearly all have MSG in them - lethal - don't eat it.  Don’t “trust” health food stores for having ONLY healthy food items on their shelf. They must make a profit, too. If a substitute product doesn’t exist for the unsafe product — you won’t find it on their shelves. Or if the safe product is too pricey and doesn’t sell, you won’t find it on their shelves.

Think about it. If I stand in a barn and neigh like a horse, does it make me a horse?  Same reasoning: If a food product is in a health food store, does it make it healthy?

      Nope. So, don't be fooled.

The words listed above — like "Spice, Natural and Artificial Flavoring" all could be MSG. Right? If a food manufacturer has the “Option” to make his product taste better than another brand and his consumers won’t know — will he do it and add the MSG? Of course!

How do you know when a food manufacturer is lying? Answer: When his lips are moving!

Food manufacturers are working with the FDA to keep their additives and preservatives far away from the public eye. Why "far from the public eye?" Because these taste enhancers help cheap food taste scrumptious.

Food Manufacturers buy cheap ingredients, add some chemicals and the food tastes great. In fact, there is a lobbying group called, “The Glutamate Association” that has representatives from major U.S. Food Manufacturers – - (like Campbell) and the Ajinomoto Company which is the chief manufacturer of MSG and hydrolyzed vegetable protein. This is a billion-dollar business. Did you hear that? I didn’t say a million-dollar business, I said BILLION -DOLLAR BUSINESS! These companies have plenty of money to keep the facts from us naive and trusting consumers!!

Here are some of the facts: God made our bodies like a chemistry set. A balance of chemicals in our brains help us to think and bring about our feelings - happy and sad. When we eat man-made chemicals they directly enter our body. Where do these chemicals go once we eat them? Chemicals are foreign to our body, so our body has the task of doing SOMETHING with this STUFF! Sometimes our body stores some of this STUFF in our fat cells, (we gain weight) and other times we don't know what the chemicals do. It is conceivable that these chemicals could interact and react with our own nuero-transmitters in our brain.

Depression is epidemic in the U.S. If food coloring activates the nervous system, then what is the outcome of these more lethal chemicals on our bodies. Yes, I believe that the evidence is clear, food additives disrupt our delicate chemical balance in the brain.

The average American eats about 9 pounds of additives and preservatives each year. Now you know why we are the fattest nation on earth! This is also an important link as to why we are THE unhealthiest nation on earth. We use the most chemicals in our food than any other nation. Think about that the next time you eat out. Restaurants are notorious to use the cheapest food possible to make the biggest profit possible. They don’t care if you are a healthy customer, they just want a customer.

Additives are related to headaches. Most people think headaches are a normal part of life. We blame headaches on stress. Guess again. Think about what’s at the end of your fork for the past 24 hours. Lots of prepared foods? Take the challenge: Don’t eat anything you can’t pronounce for 24 hours and see if your headaches are reduced.

So, are Headaches, typical or threatening? Dr. H.C.A. Vogel, a naturopath for over 35 years said, “Let me point out that a headache per se  is never an illness, only a symptom pointing to an illness that is causing it.” A headache is your body attempting to communicate a problem to you. Taking pain relievers is good for the pain, but never answers the “why” of your headache.

Finding the cause of the problem will take work and becoming a medical detective. Reading my book can help you learn how. But, if I told you that changing your diet meant that you could reduce your headaches by as much as 80 percent, would you do it?

The most common food allergens associated with headache are milk and milk products, corn, chocolate, pork, wheat, fish, nuts, eggs, and caffeine. This list is not your death sentence, but just a starting point for your research and experiments.

A note here about the common additives I just mentioned. Milk and milk products can be okay when you know how to find good ones. The same with chocolate — no additives like flavoring, etc. Nuts that the label says: almonds and no other ingredient when eating almonds. Are you beginning to understand?

Depending how painful your headaches are, you may want to take away all of these additives for a time and then slowly add one food back at a time. When you add a food, only add one food at a time and wait at least 24 hours of being symptom free before add the next food. The two main keys to your success will be documentation of your experiments and perseverance. If you suspect you may be allergic to certain foods, do some experimenting with those foods first.
